Little Critter is the titular protagonist of the Little Critter book series. His first appearance was in the 1975 book Just For You.
It is never specified what type of animal Little Critter is, although many have theorized that he is a groundhog, hamster, guinea pig, wombat or porcupine.
Little Critter can be somewhat mischievous at times, but is otherwise very friendly and kind. He is shown to have a special bond with his parents. Although his sister can often annoy him, Little Critter enjoys playing with her and teaching her all kinds of different things.
